I just set up my HD Homerun Extend in Plex. It is set up and I can record live TV. I go to the Plex app on My Iphone or Ipad and The program guide is missing. I cannot watch Live TV. I have checked for updates to the app, Force closed the app and restarted and reinstalled the app on both devices.
Why is my Program guide not showing up on these devices?
I have nearly the same exact issue, with an HDHomerun Prime
Program guide and dvr are working/accessible just fine through Plex Web
iOS app and Android TV apps not showing a program guide or dvr section anywhere - iP6s on latest iOS and NVIDIA Shield on latest version. Force closed and restarted, checked for updates, what am I missing??
What version is your Plex Media Server? Should be 1.7.2 to have the Live TV on iOS and Android TV. If you did not select the Plex Pass downloads when setting up your Plex Server then you are not on the correct version.
Same issue here but on Android.
I have server version 1.7.2.3878. HDHomerun Prime and the program guide & DVR functions working fine through the web UI.
On Android I have version 5.10.2.354, on the same subnet as the server, and logged in to the same plexpass account.
I can access all the media on the server from the Android devices, but there’s no Program Guide and no trace of DVR functionality.
What am I missing?
Which Android TV device are you using? Try removing the app, clearing cache/data and reinstalling it if you can confirm you’re on an Android TV device and not a mobile one.

Sorry to pile into the thread, but I was using the hardware transcoding preview. I’ll update my server to latest plex pass and try again tonight on my shields and wife’s iphone

I’m using a NEXBOX A95X, which runs Android 6.0.1. Not sure how to confirm it’s Android TV or not - it’s advertised as an Android TV box, but not sure how to confirm.
Uninstalled the app, cleared cache, reinstalled the app per your recommendation and re-linked the app to my account, but still don’t see the Program guide.
