I have a few screenshots to show what is happening. Basically I have a show set to record all episodes but some get skipped. Here is the example showing Dateline tonight that should record but is not scheduled.
You have new airings only set. Tonight’e episode was first aired on 10/07/2016 so it is a repeat.
Wow, I feel dumb. I thought “All Episodes” was the new or repeats and didn’t look too closely at the rest I guess.
So what is the first drop down… I can’t even click on it.

Got it. Perhaps it would be easier understood as “Series Recording” vs “Single Episode Recording”.
