I have several programs where I have brought up the show on the Program Guide and selected the “record” button on the upper right and selected all episodes. However, none of the upcoming airings show up on the Recording Schedule. The episodes are not duplicates of what I currently have in the library so I’m not sure why they would not show up.
If I cancel the “series” recording and select each episode individually, it does show up on the Recording Schedule. Is there a reason why the series episodes do not show up but the individual ones do? Or, am I misinterpreting what should be happening?
Just following up on my post to clarify. If I select a show and the specific “All Episodes”, Plex is not marking all the episodes to be recorded. They only way they do is if I select them individually. Shouldn’t they all be marked to be recorded and show up on the recording schedule?
When I series record a show it doesn’t appear under DVR Recordings (Calendar, nor Agenda view, however it does show up under “Recording Priority”). However when I do a single episode recording it is visible.

I think my issue was with ‘Airings’ since I was recording old episodes of Law & Order from the 90s and had only record new airings selected. By default I have new airings only switched off since whilst a show might be new to me, it may well have aired before - as a consumer, I’m not necessarily going to know.
Alternatively, it might have been a issue with the Keep episodes feature. I think it is very misleading to use the phrase ‘Keep Latest 5 episodes’ as I now know (only from talking on the forums) that this means keep the latests episodes from the original air date, not the date that you as a user recorded it. I was finding recordings began recording then were instantly deleted because of this. Law & Order has been rerun multiple times on multiple seasons across 2 channels in the UK. I was expecting it to keep the latests 5 episodes I had recorded regardless of season. Instead, it airappear to only keep the 5 latest episodes from the latest original air date. I think rewording the options of what ‘keep’ means would be helpful.
Yep discovered by accident it was related to new airings only being switched on (default)! This airing is brand new (never been on TV before), can only guess I was recording and disabling recording which made it believe it was an existing airing?
