I was tired of Plex getting confused about TV shows with more than 100 episodes, so I made this program. https://github.com/hunter3035/PlexSort
I’ve already made good use of it, hope you guys can too. If your unfamiliar with coding, download “PlexSort.c”, then do “gcc PlexSort.c”, and then just follow instructions in link.
A common tool to use is also FileBot and TheRenamer. These have commonly been in use for some time
FileBot is so popular there is a {plex} renaming rule which puts names exactly how they should be whether episode or movie .
FileBot is the best tool for this that I came across…its no longer free, but worth it when you have a lot of naming to standardize for Plex.

That is quite the understatement.
If there’s one program that could be considered a necessary addition for a Plex User - it’s FileBot. What ever is being charged for it pays for itself in a very short time by reducing stress and general wear and tear on the Plex user by perfect naming in seconds, day in and day out.

FileBot is now in the Win & Apple App stores for a fee. I refuse to use the App stores for various reasons. However, If you wish to Use an earlier version, they can be found here:

It works well with Linux and Win 10. But If you get a [noclassdeffounderror could not initialize class com.sun.jna.native] error just try a different version eg. x64 of x86. Or even update Java.
