PS4 no music.

Very happy with PLEX. I've added my films and TV (all stored on my PC) with no hassle at all. I did not have a clue it would automatically add the movie / TV show cover art, so I was very nicely surprised.

 

The only thing that's not showing up on my PS4 is my music. I've added it in exactly the same way I did my film and TV, but when I look on my PS4, it ain't there. 

 

The music does play on my PLEX server, from my PC, just not on PS4. 

 

The music files (file tree) are stored in exactly the same the film and TV files are - MUSIC > ARTIST > ALBUM.

 

Any idea someone? Seems like something which should be an easy fix seeing as PLEX has no issue in doing this for TV and films.

As with everything, as soon as it's available it will be posted here, the team does not give any ETA's though :P

it's too bad music is not available.  This is the only reason i want plex for my ps4.  I stream all my google play music through plex on other devices and would love to have the ability to do this through my ps4.  I even signed up for Plex pass hoping this feature was implemented.  Sadly music is still not available.  Until this feature is added i have cancelled my Plex Pass subscription.

Can we have a honest conversation here, is the hickup with Plex or Sony?  I would imagine Sony because they want us to sign up for their Music Unlimited service which will never happen with me.  I already have a huge collection of music through Google Play Music and I am not willing to dish out another $10 a month to Sony so I can just start all over with my music collection...

Hopefully Plex gets this figured out.

We're a small team. We launch the app as video only to get feedback, and waiting until _everything_ is done takes forever.

There aren't any conspiracies. We're small. Change takes time.

Thanks for the info!  Glad to hear that this has nothing to do with Sony locking their system down like Ft Knox.  I hope to see music implemented soon!  Really bummed I cant listen to my own music while gaming.

Add me to the list of users looking for music to be added.  But I don't see my Photos either?  I only see MOVIES.  Is that correct?

The movie streaming did seem very smooth.
