PS4 Not Outputting Sound

Initially, everything was working fine, but now I’m either getting no sound at all or just the director commentary tracks. I always include all of the English audio I can in Handbrake assuming I would be able to pick from those tracks on playback.

My PS4 is connected to a soundbar via toslink. I’ve never had a problem playing any high end audio codec before. The system always managed to extract the compressed core and and it sounded good to me.

I suspect there is much I do not understand here. My server is upstairs in my home and my PS4 is on 2.4 wireless downstairs. Direct play has seemed to be no problem.

I looked at some old forum answers, but as best I could tell, the UI had changed so much, I couldn’t find any of those audio settings.

It’s likely just user error or the fact that I’m grossly inexperienced with Plex.

Given the marketing, I’d hoped this kind of audio mismatch would be handled automatically the way it is between my PS4 and my old soundbar. High end codecs have never been a problem.

Any clue what I might be doing wrong?

This seems to be an ongoing issue I have the same problem which is a shame as this app would be great if it had audio.
I get audio for the ads but anything I watch has no audio. Tried selecting and un selecting dolby ac and changing video from direct streaming etc but there is no audio om sound city or the pink floyd thing I was trying to watch.
Tried u installing and re installing. I might try using it again after the next update I guess.
