Can a PlexMod once answer this question ? I mean, the First request is more then a Year Old from now, by Media lovers for Media lovers pffff

I think i know the answer. If plex would allow you to Stream/push via dlna, then they cant sell the exklusive rights to companys. Like LG in the past years.

I use Plex for all my media streaming at home, moving from iTunes Home sharing with the Apple TV's, to streaming content to devices using the Plex app and using a controller to push Plex content to my Xbox One.
Having to use my phone to pick media, and push it to the DLNA enabled Xbox One isn't too much effort, but can't you guys include a streaming option within plex, to stream content to a local DLNA renderer?
Keep up the great work!
Sad to say, but Mediabrowser is able to do DLNA Push already.....
Yes but Mediabrowser's DLNA controls implementation is very flaky to say the very least.
For example resume doesn't work, always plays from beginning, and skip chapter doesn't work, always throws you out of DLNA.
This is both to my Oppo 103D and F series Samsung TV and it's been like this for months with little or no progress being made at all and seems to be very low on their priority list.
Well I started using plex just yesterday (former serviio user) and I love it, but this is the first thing that came to mind to me, the thing is I own a sony TV and an iphone
Sony TV DLNA interface is really bad not even thumbnails using PMS as most of you should know (using sony tv 2013 profile btw), and I I would like to push everything using an App (Plex app in this case)
I cannot test bubbleupnp as far as I know it's only for android, for iphone I found iMediashare and well it gets the job done but not quite right
iMediashare basically streams the video to the iphone and back to the TV, so in this case with 1080p I get "receiver is buffering" and stuff like "Video is not playable"
So what I need is an Actual control point in the middle, (installed on the iphone) that can command the server to stream directly to the TV, so if I close the app on iphone it already doing its job.
Indeed the push to DLNA server is actually the only thing I need to make this solution my solution.
Just a pity to discover this after installing and indexing and adjusting that there is no DMC capability.

Last big thing missing in the (Web/Android) App.
Would love to see this feature. I use MediaShare to do this currently to Play To videos to my Xbox, but being built into the Plex iOS & Android app would be ideal. The browsing experience in Plex's iOS app is so much better!
Has there been any updates on this? Me too would really like if plex for iOS/android could stream directly to DLNA renderers.
Just posting to keep the thread alive - this would be a really useful feature as I have media streamer boxes on all my TVs that access Plex via DLNA. I also have the Plex app for my Android phone as well as my iPad but there's no way to use the mobile devices to control the TVs.
I have an Oppo 103D (two in fact in separate rooms) like some of the others here. If only I could push from the Android app to the Oppo and Rar support was enabled, I would happily pay the lifetime subscription, ditch all other software and use this as my only Media solution across all my devices. I'm sure many others would too.
Alas, will stick with other systems for now.
Plex Team...Excellent system by the way...You7ve done a great job...Awesome interfaces, features and usability but please consider all of the missed revenue from users like us with one or two simple feature requests...
No answer. No comunication.
I just bought a Sony RX100 MkIII and it seems like it relies on this feature to allow viewing photos on a TV.
It's quite disappointing that there has been no response at all. Not even a "it's not currently a priority feature, but maybe in the future".
I hope this changes as I LOVE Plex and have been using it since the start.
Regards,
Michal
Currently there are 2 'HOT' threads in this forum about the 'Push/Play/Fling to DLNA Renderers' feature! And no 'HOT' news/reaction from the PLEX dev team!?
I bought the Windows app for my new 2-in1 Windows tablet but now have to use an old Android tablet with BubbleUPnP :(

This isn't the request forum, and even if it was, this currently doesn't have anywhere near the amount of the likes/pages of the current top requests. I think one of the current top requests is somewhere over 900 likes. I say think because the topic above that one was a request for a Playstation app reaching nearly 1000 likes and 24 pages of posts.
I'll bump this even though I just made a thread asking if it will ever be added to the APP.
I'm guessing no since nobody from PLEX can even take the time to answer a simple yes or no.

I remember way back when I used serviio to push to devices. AFAIR, you needed to set up a fair amount of "profile" info to push to a client device, due to variation in "communication" between the client and server. There were predefined profiles for the most common devices, or you could (hopefully) get profile info for your device, from the help on their forums.
I can't see any (technical) reason why Plex couldn't support push to clients via "profiles", either predefined by Plex for the most common devices, or custom profiles supplied by the community.
I'm thinking the lack of support for "push", may be for "other reasons" due to the lack of response from Plex in this thread :(
