Since a few days back, the push notifications stopped working.
In the past it notified me about new device log in, new show episode on deck, new movie added etc. So tecnically everything.
Now it is not working at all.
I reinstalled my plex app on my phone. Restarted the whole plex server but nothing worked.
Anyone else noticed this issue and find some solution for it?
Push notifications are broken for me as well. On my iOS devices, I’m no longer receiving notifications for ‘On Deck’, ‘New Content’, ‘Playback Started’, etc. I’ve tried toggling push notifications on and off, both on the server and client devices, but that didn’t work. I’m pretty sure this issue started after upgrading my server to version 1.20.4.3517.
Server: Synology version 1.20.4.3517
iOS App: version 7.9
I got a push notification regarding database backup. This item was turned off previously.
I tried to disable all notifications, sign out, delete the plex app then reinstall and turn everything on. But that’s did not worked.
So at the moment I totally lost. I hope someone from the dev team or higher level read this thread and make something about it.
I know that this is only a nice to have feature. But I loved it because my movies/series is added automatically with qbittorent so in this case I don’t know when a new item is added to the library.
I had the same problem - yesterday I had a message about a server upgrade that would be installed overnight - this morning the notifications have returned.
Yes. It is seems to working again. I just updated to 1.20.5.3600 and I got every notification like new episode, movies or new device detected etc. Even if it has some seconds/minute delay. At least (fingers crossed) working again.
