Qnap NAS will not install Plex but a blue screen (not BSOD)

It appears i have corrupted something. I moved finished tv shows from A-K and L-Z folder into a new folder named ENDED. I thought all good but found some series that had been watched were now unwatched. So I thought ok I have a backup from 2 days before so copied the db file (like I had done so many times before) to over-write the failed version ( that I thought corrupted ). There started the problem as plex would no longer open. And updates of app, reboots , etc,etc brought up the blue screen.
I have since tried a dozen versions and installs and when I click I get this blue screen. Not the BSOD just a plain blue with nothing on it . I have tried the default NAS version and several older version so it is not version related. multiple reboots, removals , re-installs…
Occasionally I get -

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. It feels like its a permission thing but I have no idea .

I have several backups of com.plexapp.plugins.library.db that hopefully will have all my watched media still there. It feels like a permission thing but I cannot work it out
It maybe Chuck’s plexdata thing from awhile back but I cannot find the original post and details.

I have had plex for 10 years and never have I been offline for more than 10 hours . Now going into day 2 .
HELP !!

@spikemixture

Can you stop Plex and then manually grab whatever it has for logs from the PlexData/Plex Media Server/Logs directory (use FileStation)

Thanks Chuck,
logs from my most recent reinstall.

The friends are still in your account (Settings - Users & Sharing … upper left corner).

Thanks again. Yes I found them.
So here is where i am today
I have 2 qnap NAS TS1277 (192.168.1.77) and TVS1282 (192.168.1.82)
I have installed old, new and in between version on both over the last 3 days.
I have tried installing on the QTS volume and their own SSD volume.
The media is safe on the HDD’s
Now after an install when I click Plex from either box I get this with the the ip being that boxes address.

Try:

Its appears be a permissions thing but I am lost.
What was your thing way back when installing on Qnap you need a plexdata folder ??

The DB i have backup seems to be ok as I have installed plex on a PC and copied over the appropriate db and it shows my watched .
It shows my local friend in the correct place but those outside my network show but are not ‘joined’

about to call it a night, but –

  1. Create a Shared Folder named “PlexData” (exact case) anywhere you like.

  2. Apply any permissions you deem appropriate/necessary to that shared folder

  3. Stop Plex in App Center

  4. Start Plex (or attempt to start it)
    – The attempt to start is what populates PlexData

  5. Stop Plex

  6. Now you can open, in FileStation, PlexData → Plex Media Server (which is normally hidden inside the package area)

  7. Right-click ‘Logs’ → “Compress” (make a ZIP file)

  8. download

  9. attach here.
