Plex no longer working on QNAP TS-451+

I have a QNAP TS-451+ running firmware QTS 5.2.1.2930 and up until the other day had Plex running on it flawlessly for 5+ years.

One of my drives failed (and has since been replaced and the RAID array rebuilt) but I think this is the cause of the issue as nothing else has changed.

Now the RAID array is back to how it was, everything is as it was before, Plex is on version 14.2 but when I try to open it from any app, it is just as if I don’t have any servers. I get a “site cannot be reached” when navigating to http://:32400/web.

I have tried multiple reboots and even downgrading Plex but nothing has worked so far.

Are there any logs I can check or anything I can change somewhere? I assume something got “stuck” when the drive failed the other day and something needs a poke to get it to restart fully or something?

Above would indicate, that PMS is either not running, or you have a firewall blocking port 32400

For a short test, try and disable it from the App-Center, wait 1 min, and then enable it again

If it still isn’t up running, reboot your QNAP, to make sure we don’t have a process blocking a port

Then report back

Thanks for your help, have just tried all of that but still no change I’m afraid.

Did you before this happened created a share named “PlexData” ?

Ref: Qnap faq.....read me first! - #5 by ChuckPa

Hi, I’m afraid not, no.

Then do it now, since that should work and give easy access to the logs

Follow what the FAQ says

I’ve followed the steps and created the folder, please let me know how to extract logs and/or if this needs to be applied for X amount of time before logs can be extracted.

From the QNAP AppCenter, restart Plex Media Server

Then wait 5 min, and go to QNAP File station

Hopefully, you should be able to find the PlexData share
In that, navigate to Plex Media Server
Select the Logs directory and download it
Then upload it here

Logs.zip (546.9 KB)
Thank you. Attached

Sadly your database is damaged

Nov 20, 2024 10:07:56.057 [139640118721168] ERROR - Error: Unable to set up server: sqlite3_statement_backend::loadOne: database disk image is malformed (N4soci10soci_errorE)

Try this one:

Thanks so much for your help, that’s sorted it!

Ran that tool, chose “2” automatic option and it found the issue and repaired it, Plex now working as before.

Thanks again!
