QNAP plex media server issue; some media jumps back and forth as it plays

Server Version#: 1.42.2
Player Version#: latest. Both MSEdge and Chromecast Plex app (not tested with casting).

Issue occurs only on files with HEVC that have SRT subtitles files. The files are in “Direct play” according to the playback. Server has QTS hardware transcoding. Was working perfectly fine till a month ago. The audio continues fine without issues but the video jumps back or forward every few seconds a frame or 2.
