Hi everyone,
a customer asks me for a high-performance NAS for the use of Media Player systems such as Plex.
He would like to be able to enjoy content saved on a NAS in 4K simultaneously from multiple 4K TVs.
The NAS must be rackmount.
I contacted QNAP and they recommended the following configuration:
- No. 1 – QNAP NAS TS-h1887XU-RP-E2336-32G
- Nr. 1 – NVDIA Quadro P1000 4G - Video card for hardware transcoding
- No. 4 – SSD 870 QVO SATA 2.5" SSD 8TB – Configured in RAID 10 – total usable memory 16 TB
The QNAP NAS TS-h1887XU-RP-E2336-32G is not present in the official Plex compatibility document.
This is a problem?
Do you think the configuration is performing?
The customer wants the best.
Greetings everyone
