Qnap ts-470 pro

I have a qnap ts-470pro as my plex media server and I am also a plex pass subscriber. Can we use the Homerun DVR and connect it to the QNAP media server to use over my home network. I currently run plex on my TVs using a Roku device in one room and an Apple TV in another. Before I buy the DVR and Antenna I wanted to know if my setup would work? Also, is there an additional fee for this service even if we are a plex pass subscriber? Thanks

Strange I don’t see that guy on the compatibility list.

The main thing to consider is transcoding if your clients need it and if your Qnap will be strong enough to perform this task.

You can get a TV tuner and antenna and get over the air channels for free so no subscription unless you wanted to tune to paid channels with a cable card which is a paid service.

Hi,

I run Plex on a TS-251+. As long as your qnap is X86_64, you can use it easily by downloading the .qnap package here and installing it.

Cheers
