QNAP TS-559 Pro+

QNAP Server Version#: 4.2.6
Player Version#: 1.14.1.5488

Hey Folks, I’m running Plex off a QNAP TS-559 Pro+. Recently the Plex download section has changed and has started to ask for the CPU details of the QNAP you are running from:

Intel/AMD 64-bit (QTS-4.3 and newer)
ARMv8 (TS-x28, and TS-x32 Series)
ARMv7 (TS-x31, and TS-x31U Series)
ARMv7 (TS-x31+, TS-x31P, TS-x31P2, TS-x31X, and TS-x31XU Series)]

My series QNAP is not listed and I’ve really been struggling to find exactly what kind of CPU my model has. I reached out to QNAP support for additional details and they were totally unhelpful.

Wondering if this means support for my model has been dropped or if I’m just missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

Literally on the first page of results

We put Qnap’s TS-559 Pro+ with an Atom D525 dual-core CPU to the test: is it any faster than devices with Atom D510?

Atom D525 is a 64-bit, 1.8GHz Intel chip.

Ha, thanks Gary. Then I guess the sticking point is the TS-559 Pro+ doesn’t support QTS 4.3 and beyond, which would leave no Plex upgrade path right?

Yeah, I you’re SOL there, unfortunately. Pretty old model and QNAP aren’t as good at keeping up support as Synology are, in my experience…

Hey

have you still got the 1.14 plex qpkg available? I’m running a 1.13 on a 509 pro

just came back after finding the link and saw your response… many thanks!!!

Any idea where I can find the last 1.14 plex qpkg for 32 bit QNAP server? I’d like to install it and store it away somewhere.
