Queens Funeral Won't Import

Server Version#: 1.28.2.6151
Player Version#:

The Queens Funeral is about 21gB (admittedly a big file) and I cannot seem to get it to import into my Plex TV shows. It is in the correct folder, it is named correctly according to TVDB, has banner and covers in the folder and the file will play fine with Infuse. Is there a file size limit or some factor that I don’t know about?

This show?: The State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II

There is no size limit. 21GB is not that large compared to some 4K HDR movie rips.

How are the files named?

Edit: I’m obviously not using the real files, but this works on my server:

Folder and file are named as you stated “The State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II”(The State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II - TheTVDB.com).
FileBot could not find it using TVDB but renamed it with banner and cover using FileBot ‘Auto’ mode.

on watch.plex.tv we have it as a movie

We do not yet have the series, since they where created on tvdb September 20, 2022, and modified the day after.

Please try again in a day or 2, since normally it takes up to 48 hours before our cache is updated

And got this all wrong here

a 21Gb file is hardly an episode, but instead a movie

As such, I suspect TMDB is correct here:

So move to a movie library, and do report back here

Update. I put the file in my ‘Movies’ folder and it showed up just fine. Thank you. This does however bring up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ask ‘what if the database gets it wrong?’ This particular BBC live television broadcast was indeed an exception (it wasn’t a three hour 4K Imax movie)–it was just a very long TV show. So…shouldn’t there be a process or a flag or boxes with crosses to tell the database that this really is a TV show?

We gather info from a lot of different sources, and we actually did get this correct

What you did, was to trust a single source (tvdb.com) that has this wrong, afaict

Note, that most of the metadata providers out there, like tmdb and tvdb, depends on the community to add correct info

So the flag should be on their end, IMHO

And adding:

This is a highly recommended reading:

This will now show up as a tv show too if you prefer that.

It’s not typical, yet not totally unusual for a something to be classified as either a tv show or movie and match either way with the proper naming

I had a whole bunch of documentaries that showed up fine in my movie library, but I noticed that they were actually episodes of the tv show Frontline.

They will match in either library, so it just becomes a matter of preference.

Personally at 9 hours long this would be going in my tv library

I did move the file to Movies and it’s fine. Based on your comments, I copied it back to TV Shows and it doesn’t show up. This has been an educational experience however and I appreciate your help.
