The title is self explanatory. I have looked all over the place and I can’t find an answer for this. The only ones I do come across are people who are not naming their files correctly. I am having trouble displaying episodes from That 70s Show in Season 5 and 6. It will display 1-18 but it won’t display the rest. I have everything set up the way Plex asks. All of my files are set up as:
Media/
Movies/ “movie.mkv”
Tv Shows/That 70s Show/Season 6/That 70s Show - s06e01
A TV Show Library
…That '70s Show
…Season 06
…That '70s Show - S06E01 - The Kids are Alright.mp4
The episode name is, of course, optional, but FileBot threw it in there so that’s what I used.
It’s possible (likely even) if you’re using MP4 files and they have bogus embedded metadata in the Title field Plex is giving priority to the embedded metadata unless you tell Plex to stop that nonsense:
According to TheTVDB, there is an apostrophe in front of the 70. That '70s Show
This may appear unimportant, but since this Google API was retired (which helped with badly named files), even such small differences may be more important than you think.

The files are .mkv. I checked the agents and moved local media assets out of the top slot in all of them and still no change.

Ensure all the names are correct - with the apostrophe
replace show into library
update library
Typically if you want a drama-free co-existence with Plex name your files correctly before they hit the library. I do this all the time myself by checking TVDB or TMDB before I add something I’m not completely sure is named correctly. An apostrophe could easily be neglected, but apparently Plex and TVDB think it’s important.
The rumor is that MKV files with embedded metadata aren’t read by Plex, but it won’t hurt a thing to move LMA… in case you ever want to use an MP4 file that has bogus metadata…
FileBot will pre-match your files with the appropriate database - TVDB in this case - and name your files absolutely correct. FileBot wouldn’t have neglected that little apostrophe even though a meat based operator could have easily done so.

All file now names are now correct with apostrophe. I removed the entire show from the library. Updated and everything was deleted when updated. I replaced the show in the library and updated again. Still the same thing. I am good with Seasons 1-4 and then Season 5 only gives me episodes 1-18 and Season 6 only gives me 1-17. >

Sorry, this sounds as if you did not execute every step of the Plex Dance. The ‘Clean Bundles’ step is crucial.

I read that page wrong. i thought it did the bundles automatically. I don’t see where I can delete bundles manually though. All I see is a check box where it can delete them once a week.
Ensure all the names are correct - with the apostrophe (FileBot can do the entire show in 10 seconds - Link in my Signature)
replace show into library
update library
The Plex Dance contains these steps above. If you don’t do all the steps it’s not the Plex Dance… it’s more like ‘The Waste Time While Not Doing The Plex Dance Dance’… and that gets you nothing useful in return.

How do I manually clean bundles? All I can see on that link is that it says your plex server will do it once a week. Do I wait a week or is there a way to do it manually? Thanks.

You have to actually read the linked support page… this picture is 3 pictures down…
Hover mouse over ‘Libraries’ in the left pane of Plexweb and when ‘the dots’ appear click ‘the dots’… everything you need is right there.
Ok. I removed the show entirely, updated the library, cleaned the bundles(got the green check mark), emptied the trash(got the green check mark), made sure all names were correct (Tv Shows / That '70s Show / Season 6 / That '70s Show - s06e19), replaced show into library, and updated library. Still getting the same problem. Season 5 is still only missing episodes 19-25. Season 6 has all the episodes there, but 18-25 is showing to have duplicates (#2 up in the left hand corner). I checked the folders to make sure I didn’t accidentally create duplicates and there aren’t any. Where to now lol. Thanks again for all the help. I do appreciate it.

Are you using MKV files or MP4 or something else?
Can you check your library and verify that it points only to the folder directly above of That '70s Show and not two or more levels up?
They are .mkv files. The library does point to the folder directly above That '70s Show and not a few levels up. One thing I did notice though is it did pick back up my current watched and unwatched episodes of the show which you’d think would be reset by deleting the show, cleaning bundles, and emptying the trash.

That is by design.
Is your library set to a different language than english? ( Edit your library, go to the ‘Advanced’ tab)
I am seeing this file and folder path in your log files: F:\Media\Tv Shows\That '70s Show\Season 5\That '70s Show - s06e19.mkv
If you look closely, you’ll see that there is the folder Season 5 but the season/episode code says s06
so then it is no wonder that episodes 19-25 of season 5 are missing and those of season 6 are duplicated.
