Why does Plex not pull from Fanart.tv? Would be great to have Plex pull from Fanart.tv like Emby does.

I went there and even put in the personal API key and still not seeing anything being pulled from Fanart.tv. What am I missing??
What kind of content is it?
Which agent was used to match the item?
Is fansrt.tv even activated for this agent?
If this is a movie, did you convert the library to the new “Plex Movie” agent?

Yes fanart.tv is activated and used it as the agent to match the item.
Maybe I’m asking about this in the wrong direction. Evidently Plex only pulls posters and backgrounds for movies and TV shows. If fanart.tv is an agent, why not utilize the Movie Thumbs from fanart.tv for the “Continue Watching” section of Plex. Using the background image is “eh”… Same with the Clear Logo, etc.
You can’t use fanart to match a movie. You use either Plex Movie or TMDB.
Which one did you use? Inspect the content of the guid property in the Plex XML info of this item to find out.

So you CAN utilize Movie Thumbs and Clear Logo’s from fanart.tv? When you go to Edit, only the Poster and Background shows as available to edit.
What makes you think so? No, you cannot.
Were they every enabled in Plex? Guess I will have to throw it in the Feature Request section.
Speaking of requests, there are quite a few requests that have been going on for years without any implementation or even a hint that it is even being considered (case in point, multiple versions of same movie and labeling them correctly). How is Plex handling requests?
