Question on Plex Pass for 2 different servers?

Server Version#: Nvidia Shield

I currently have a Nvidia Shield running a plex server and it is working good and would like to buy the plex pass to get the transcoding feature but in a couple months I am getting a 72TB Qnap NAS and will be running my plex server from it and want to know if I will be able to apply the plex pass to that server or will I have to buy another one even though I will not be running my nvidia shield plex server.

Plex Pass is tied to your account, not an individual server.

To add to @tom80H’s comments,

  1. Plex Pass is currently on sale for $89.99 USD.
    See https://plex.tv/plex-pass for details.

  2. For the Nvidia Shield, a Plex Pass is not required to use hardware accelerated transcoding.
    See Using Hardware-Accelerated Streaming.

Edit: Check the NAS Compatibility List before purchasing the Qnap. Note that Plex does not support hardware accelerated transcoding on NAS with ARM or embedded AMD CPUs.

Yes that is why I was wanting to get the plex pass now while it is on sale but wanted to make sure it will work with my QNAP server. The QNAP I am getting has a Intel CPU with built in GPU so it will be capable to transcode.
