Question regarding LAN Networks

Hello,
I have a silly question, since there is no way to enforce from the server maximum quality to all remote users, I’m trying to add all the ip addresses as LAN Network by setting this to 0.0.0.0/0.
I’m seeing in the PlexWeb Quality settings that Home Streaming option is activated by default and by this I can enforce that all videos to be played at the maximum quality.
After restarting PMS when I play a video it’s still limited to 2Mbps.

Any idea how I can achieve this?

Thanks!

simply go to your client and tell it to use maximum settings for all playback scenarios (home network streaming, internet streaming, mobile streaming). limitation might be your internet uplink which can be significantly lower than our internet download bitrate (e.g. 50 Mbit download speed but “only” 10 Mbit upload towards the internet).

the setting you’re using is supposed to be used to tell Plex which network to consider as your home network (not for transcoding settings but mainly for authentication).

Thanks for the feedback. This might work for a while but sometime this option is resetted to default due to browser change or version upgrade. It would be nice if I can set this somehow to default from the server side.
In my case upload bandwidth is not an issue.
