I have a cron job that downloads both TV episodes and Radio episodes into two libraries, one for Radio, one for TV. The TV episodes one works as expected. I can see what programs I have new but unwatched as they have an orange viewstate indicator. However, for radio programs this does not appear (I guess this would be a “listen-state indicator”).
I created the “Radio” library of type “Music”. Does “watched” tracking only work for libraries of type “TV Shows” or similar? Can I put radio programs in a “TV Shows” library?
What am I doing wrong?
Yes.
Only if they had a video track.
Thanks. They don’t have a video track as they are downloaded radio episodes.
As far as I can tell it’s also impossible to see which ones are newly downloaded (i.e. order by download time).
Is there somewhere where one can request a feature? This seems a bit of an omission. Use case: I download to my plex server all my favourite radio shows. I have these set to download on my iOS device so I can listen to them (e.g.) on a plane. However, I can’t tell what I’ve listened to already, and as many radio shows are repeats, broadcast date etc. does not help.
It would appear plexamp does this (or at least claims to). I’ll give it a try.
