Radio stream channels

Hello

this Weekend I upgraded my rpi2 from 0.6.0 to 0.7.0.
I used the upgradefeature.

Since i upgraded no channel with Radio stream content works anymore. They all Show an red error in the lower right Corner:

GetDirectory Failed for: plexserver://b93ac1810519dd827d473e8ded843852d42…

Any Idea who to fix this.?
What does the error acualy mean?

All Channels do work fine on all other Clients. (ios, android, web)
Plex Media Server is the current stable Version.

Chears Urban

Can you suggest a channel you have this problem with and we’ll take a look.

Hi
it is with all my Streaming Webradio channels. f.e SHOUTcast, Bay FM 99, Plex Podcast. Just a few minutes ago I tested a new fresh Installation. The same result.

Yesterday morning I had a connect. but just once and it tok very long to connect. Do you want any logfiles?

Chears,
Urban

Thanks, just tried Plex Podcasts and Shoutcast this morning, both seem to be working OK.

Hm,

It should take just a second to conntect to the stream, right?
if it works fine with your site, than it Points to connectivity. Mybe in new release same Network Settings are different.
Can you tell me, if the stream is downloaded by the PMS, or does RPI directly downloading.?
How about Name resultion?
The error-message is starting with “failed GetDirectory …” In wich loggfile is the full errormessage logged. i can not find it on \rasplex\log files.

Urban

Hi,

meanwhile I found the right logfile. I Could extract a sniplett with logged errors and posted it here http://pastebin.com/hMtHDQR0
In this sample it takes nearly 2 seconds to download an XML document.
Later GetDirectory failed to fetch data from plexserver://b93… with Result 500.
What does this mean? Where to look next?

by the way. Did user, Password changed on new Releases? plexuser, ra… does’nt work for me to ssh in with putty.
Username ist root. with Password ra…

This seems to be an intermittent problem and it happens on Plex HT too, but only if I connect via WiFi, on Ethernet I don’t get the problem.

Are you trying on a WiFi connected RPi or Ethernet?

Regards

Hi,
Yes, you are right, it is not an persistent problem.
_Sametimes _channel do work. Sametimes but only _sametimes _Errors like this kann be found in plugins.log:
2015-08-29 20:13:14,746 (e3c) : CRITICAL (core:572) - Exception (most recent call last):
File “bundles-release/Framework.bundle-dist/Contents/Resources/Versions/2/Python/Framework/components/runtime.py”, line 843, in handle_request
File “bundles-release/Framework.bundle-dist/Contents/Resources/Versions/2/Python/Framework/handlers/base.py”, line 111, in call
TypeError: MainMenu() takes no arguments (1 given)

I am connected with Ethernet. But my PMS is running a a virtual machine. The host is big enough.

It may be an timing problem.

I checked all usual Network stuff, Ip, dns and so on. next Thing can be WhireShark. But I do not understand enought what to search.

Can you give me same hints for testing.

URban

Hi,

Yes I can confirm: It’s happens on PHT to! I just installed on an old and slow Netbook with Win10 PHT an do see the same error? Should i know Switch over this thread to the PHT Team or the PMS Team ?
Or stay with you

Regards
Urban

You might want to raise this in the PHT forum as there are also issues on that client too.
