after the latest update I would intermittently have the playback stop and immediately reopen the splash screen.
initial steps used to troubleshoot: cleared cache, reinstalled app, different networks (internal and external).
found today when the bluetooth mouse connected to the tablet died the problem went away.
charged the mouse and reconnected. immediately started having the same issues again.
powered off mouse and problem went away again.

Bluetooth uses the same frequencies as the most basic WiFi standard 802.11b/g/n on 2.4 GHz.
If your wifi access point is only reachable over this frequency band (which can happen if you are separated from it by not-so-dry wall[s], or you are very far from it), then a bluetooth device can disturb the wifi signal significantly.
There is currently a bug in the app which causes the behaviour you are reporting, when the connection to the internet is lost.

I am using wifi 6 in the same room. problem started after major software update.
I know the team is working through the bugs on this. I just wanted to provide constructive feedback instead of just complaints and offer a temp solution for others that might be experiencing the same issue.

I’m having this same problem with my OnePlus Pad 2. If I’m using a mouse connected by bluetooth, when the mouse goes to sleep (3 minutes of no use), Plex (on the tablet) acts like the server (on my PC) disconnected and can’t be reached. This bounces me back to the home screen, then, ~15 seconds later, it detects the server again, and I have to restart whatever I was watching. Other devices can still connect to the server when this happens, so, I know it’s not that. This problem is consistently reproduced. As soon as I disconnect the mouse from the tablet, the problem stops.
