Someone sent me a request, offering to share 2 libraries with me. Is that common? If I agree to share with him, does that mean he can see what’s in my library? I’m a bit fuzzy on how it works, chances are I’m not gonna just friend a complete stranger either way, just wondering if it’s common or if it’s some possible scam of some kind, or something.
They are not very common but every once in awhile someone new who doesn’t understand this is not like reddit, twitter, napster or some other new fangled “share everything about your life.app” sends friend requests. best to just deny and move on
if you share with them they can only see the libraries you share with them.
We highly suggest not accepting or offering shares to random strangers. Though pretty much all i have come across are just people trying to get movies etc for free, there is the always the potential for something nefarious to happen because of how smart hackers are these days
