I have 4different cinematic trailers that I want to play before the beginning of each movie, I only want 1 or maybe 2 of them to play every time. I don’t want to play other extras and so on
Would this be possible?

It won’t - you’ll be spammed until the cows come home until you disable notifications in your profile - and then you’ll only be spam-slapped on the forum.
Your issue is really dependent on which client you’re using and it’s a two part setting. The first part is in:
plexweb/settings/server/extras/
The second part is in the client settings wherein you select the number of trailers to play.
Make note of these areas because once you get it working and it’s starts to annoy the hell out of you (I give it 10 minutes) you’ll be turning it off.
It seems the name for the function I want is pre-roll videos that is shuffled/local media assets not cinema trailers.
Using a pre-roll video means using cinema trailers
The client is a nvidia shield, will check if that supports it, the clients could also be a web app or three other android devices casting to the nvidia shield, I guess these also need to be set.
Seems I will not even try to enable this, or is it more that might be annoying?

It’s very likely neither location will likely produce any edible fruit, but there may be a community member with a trick up his sleeve.
I do not have any tips on pre-roll videos, but @OttoKerner / @astrofisher can probably inject some wisdom into this conversation.
It seem most of the User Options that Plex actually put in and actually work are the ones that annoy the hell out of you. I’ve been trying for about a year to get Plex to stop putting ‘Favorite Tracks’ in my Music Stuff and even though the dam thing is disabled - yep - they keep on coming.
I used to use a chromecast + Gentoo/Nuc combo, i wanted a unit with built in cast functionality/no more tinkering and some other smart TV stuff like netflix and atmos passthrough. The Amazon Fire TV didn’t have any built in cast functionality. The shield has actually worked above expectations, better then my gentoo/nuc i5 with 16gb ram and a SSD regarding transcoding and some other stuff x_x
Though it was painful purchasing something from NVidia, in this case I didn’t find any other options meeting my requirements with no more tinkering and alot of functionality.
