I’m not entirely sure if this problem is with Plex itself but I have no idea how to narrow down the cause either, so I thought I’d start here.
At seemingly random times, I lose connection to my server entirely for upwards of a minute. No client on any platform can connect, and after a short while everything returns to normal. This has happened on my Android Plex App and desktop using Plex For Windows as the player. Once while just browsing my library, and the second midway through watching a movie. I downloaded my logs straight after the server was available again on the second occurance.
I believe I’ve managed to track down the occurance in the logs as “MyPlex: We appear to have lost Internet connectivity, resetting device URL cache.”, but I have no idea how to investigate further as to what caused the connection loss.
My Server runs on an old Dell Optiplex with ethernet through Powerline and either of those could also be the cause. Any advice on narrowing down what’s causing this problem? Logs are attached.
