Raspberri Pi 4 - 4GB- lots of bufferering

Hello, i have just built a Plex server on a Pi 4 with 4GB

The videos i am trying to watch in 1080p (HEVC Main 10)

The pi is connected directly to a hardwired switch and so i my iMac all on my local network

I am a newbie when it comes to configuring the plex server.

thanks for any help on settings or debugging

Is this a realistic expectation that it should even work?

Are you storing the video files on the SD card? SD card storage is to slow. Also make sure that transcoding is disabled. Hardware transcoding isn’t enabled for the Pi 4 and it’s not powerful enough to run software transcoding.
