RasPlex cases

Very Impatiently waiting for this!!!! Media Link on my LG tv sucks.. after i try it out I know my friends and Family will be purchasing these too...... CANT WAIT!!

I'm in. looking forward to it.

I can't wait!!

I will be a backer as well. Don’t really need the case or a PI but I want to support this for what it might mean in the long run. I’d love to throw down $50-$70 to get a case, a PI, and PHT pre-installed for friends and family. Right now they rely on a roku which has a HORRIBLE UI compared to PHT.

Any update on timing?

You can mark me down for two as soon as they're available. I'd also be very interested in a complete, ready to use version.

Great work!

I've found alternate solutions for my Pis. This still looks like it will be an amazing case, but having passed the previously estimated date for these to be available without any updates, it became more important to me to have cases than to have the "perfect" cases.

What garry2011 said might be a great thing, seeing a lot of webshops now sell Raspberry Pi's as a XBMC package, for around ~$100 (at least here In the Netherlands), think what a Plex edition could do with an awesome case :) I just started using one and I must say I'm very impressed, nifty little bugger it is.

I'm curious about the on/off switch, can't wait to see what a production model looks like!

I'm afraid I'm like a kid waiting for Christimas. I have a cardboard box sitting here with the Raspberry pi, USB hub, etc etc. All I need is the case!

Is this design opensource? I mean ive got an 3d printer @ school ^_^

Found my anser!  stupid me :D

How do I get my hands on on. This case looks great. A million times better than other options out there.

+1 my situation exactly! Can anyone comment on whether that is a reasonable total? I'm not very familiar with the total cost of getting a Rasberry Pi going.

Raspberry Pi goes for $49.61

The case would be $20.00

SD Card like $10.00

Pre-installed PHT effort $5.00

That makes a total of $84.61

Thanks. Bit more than a Roku but worth it if it runs an interface more like the full client.
Which of your prices are you including the power supply in?

May is nearly over! I'm going to ■■■■■■ me up a full kit. Hopefully international shipping isn't too much.

That's one that I forgot, so it's not included.

I gues if you also include an HDMI-cable you would be getting a price of 90,00 USD bucks.

I would buy this case as well.

cant wait till the stl file is released

A complete RasPlex device is a long way off, as we simply don't have the resources to spend 30-40 dollars per unit on the board. For the time being, the Pi's will be sold separately : (

Unless the cases really take off...

hello,

+1 for a rasplex device. i find the rasplex project fascinating. i have more money than time and would be willing to pay in advance (and wait) for a device that was ready to go.

Has anyone seen or used a case that would include a Raspberry Pi, plus inside the case have room to put an external USB hard drive, on/off switch, and in infrared reciever.  I was thinking basically a media center in a box at least as far as all Raspberry pi, and media storage since my media includes over 400 DVDs and 20,000 mp3s...  I have several Raspberry Pis so am looking for a solution for several TVs in my house.

how is the power gonna be re-routed in the case and what ir is gonna be in the finished product?
