"RasPlex" "Connect to device"

Hi,

I have multiple RasPlex devices running in my house. When I open the remote on my tablet to choose which RasPlex device to control, I see multiple “RasPlex” devices in my list and have to guess as to which one controls what device. Is it possible for me to change this name to show up in the list as something more descriptive? I tried editing the /etc/hostname file on each device, but this simply changes the OS hostname and not the “RasPlex” name that shows up in the device list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is in system in the GUI, you have: system, restart, shutdown, preferences…

I can set the hostname from there, but that does not change the remote control name.

Yes. You should change it in both locations.

I have no problem setting the system name. My issue is the “RasPlex” name that show up when I attempt to remote control it from another device.
