RasPlex failing only on some movies

Hi all,

I’m running Plex server version 1.15.3.876 and have a RasPlex client downstairs. When attempting to play certain movies, I’m getting a “please check that the file exists and the necessary drive is mounted” error. This is only happening on certain files, yet other files of the same type (mp4) will play fine. I’ve restarted the server and the client, removed and re-added the file, re-scanned the folder, etc and I am still receiving the error. The file plays fine when local to the server machine. I’ve also moved to another server machine and was still able to access from the desktop of my other Plex server but not from the RasPlex. Does anyone know of any other tests/checks I could do or why this could be occurring?

Thanks in advance

Hi Trumpy,

Thanks for the quick reply! I have included the logs and the xml. I should note that I did move this to another plex server of a different version (because i needed downtime on my main server) but they are both doing the same thing (just in case you see a different version than the one i listed originally). I gathered the logs about 2-3 minutes after attempting to play the file. I attempted to play it at 20:52. Please let me know if anything else is needed.

Thanks!

I’ll give that a shot in the next couple of days. Thanks for your help, trumpy, much appreciated

Update: I wiped and then re-imaged the RasPlex SD card and still having the same problem. however, it never had me re-enter my creds when i started the RasPlex client. I’m a little confused on how that’s even possible … but I also wanted to see if there were any other ideas on why the client would be stopping playback
