I just want the rasplex player and let it auto boot on my raspberry pi 5 is it possible?
As far I know, Unfortunaly Rasplex developpment is no no more active…
The latests HW runing with Rasplex is Raspberry 3B.
There where a experimental version for 3B+ but unstable
If you found a way to Run Rasplex on RPI4 ou 5 I am interested!!!
I used android for raspberry pi 5 and it works for plex but the higher resolutions dont play well. Otherway is kodi.

you mean running android plex app ? not Rasplex?
Yeah just put android for rpi5 on a sd card android tv is also an option and download from app store the plex app.
Android and Android TV on the Pi 4 and 5 is total garbage and runs terrible, doesn’t matter if its on an SD Card or an NVME drive, its just awful and pointless, nothing meaningful runs right, no hardware acceleration, no Widevine, no Google certification, the only way to get a RasPlex like experience will be to install Pi OS and then install the Plex HTPC app on top, then you will need to make it auto start on boot up.
Also the Kodi plugins for Plex is another dumpster fire, the only ones that work will not give any of the PVR features so you may as well just add your shared drives to Kodi directly.
