Rasplex plus Web Browser

Hi,

Looking to reduce my electricity bill. I currently run a full Windows PC connected to my main TV that has to be on 247 so all my family has full time access the media. It acts as Plex Server and Client when im watching plex in the main room.

I’m building a Raspberry Pi 2 based media server which will consume a tiny fraction of the power my PC does allowing me to turn my PC off when not in use.

I could further reduce the need for my PC to be turned on at all if I could use a second Raspberry Pi 2 to browse the web and as a plex client. (as these are the 2 main functions I use the PC for)

So…
Is it possible to have a browser that can be opened up inside of the Rasplex system.
Or…
Is it possible to run the linux plex home theatre client inside the Raspian desktop…

I cant be the only person on the planet that wants a nice full featured web browser and plex client on the one device ?

third option are there any other clients other than raspberry pi that might suit my needs…

Many thanks…

No Plex client, including Rasplex, supports a web browser.

It is not possible to run the PHT client on Raspbian.

If you have a Smart TV they normally have a built in web browser…

Sorry to be so negative.

Regards

Just seems such a waste having hardware capable of running a perfectly good web browser and need two of them to do what I need…

Is there a proper place to post feature requests…

I would think chrome or Firefox browser plus plex covers 90% of peoples usage of their tv
