As of a couple of updates ago (last couple of weeks) two of my Rasplex Pi3b players are not updating recently added TV episodes for existing shows. Newly added TV shows appear just fine, and accessing via the Web or Android client shows recently added episodes as expected.
Everything has been running without issue for a couple of years. If it was only the one Rasplex box that had the issue, I would have reinstalled Rasplex, but to have two go at the same time is strange. It is pointing to the server, but with other Plex clients not having an issue am thinking there maybe an issue with Rasplex, and the newer release/s of the Windows Plex Media server, any ideas?
Plex server Version 1.15.0.659 is running on Windows 10 (1809) Intel NUC i5 device.
Mine has been doing the exact same thing. The only thing I could do to get it to display new episodes under recently added, is in settings, disable “Stack TV shows in recently added”…but the problem there, is if I add an entire new series or season, it displays every single individual episode as new…so it will fill the entire recently added section with one show. This is a real problem, but I don’t know of any way to fix it. I completely reinstalled Rasplex and thought that fixed it until I set my settings and checked Stack TV shows in Recently Added and the problem came back.
Thanks for the Stacking tip, had not thought of that. Though not ideal, I think having newly added episodes displayed, out weighs the inconvenience of all eps of a newly added complete series being displayed.
