Hallo,
I just discovered Rasplex and installed it on my Pi3
Normally my Synology NAS running PMS put the HDDs into hypernation mode when noting is connected
Is it because I am using v. 1.7.1 that my HDDs are on all the time or is it generally with Rasplex?
I want to let the pi always on and when I don’t do anything on rasplex that my HDDs on my Server go into hypernation mode, and wake up, when I change the video/serie etc.
Thank for any answers if that is possible
Try turning off slideshow backgrounds and screensavers. There’s a re-occurring request back for that media happening all the time probably keeping it alive.
Thanks for your reply,
Sadly it didn’t worked
i have under skin settings: Disable all Slideshows activated
under general:
Disable replay screen for movies/episodes/clips activated
tried with screensaver off and black
Experience has taught that spinning drives down/up in server devices (which includes a NAS) is more detrimental than leaving them spinning 24/7 as intended.
Spin-down is a bad solution for a non-existent problem.
Turn on debug, and reboot. Then just let it idle for a while. Then pull both Rasplex and PMS logs and see what they say. You can post them here, but if it’s Rasplex related, it should be in the log.
Thanks sremick for your advise, but I want them to be turned off, because I life in a small flat, and can hear the drives in the other Room running
@ benjaminwolf thanks for your further help, I just installed rasplex 1.6.2 yesterday and downloaded the logs today at 9 am:
in the PMS log you only see logs until 1 am, when my watching ends
But the Rasplex log is very full, I can see, that it is opening some directions on the server.
I copied just the last hour
