Hi there
I’ve just tried to do a fresh installation on a new class 10 SD card - unfortunately I can’t get it to boot. It gives the following error:
*** error in mount_storage: mount_common: Could not mount /dev/mmcblk0p2 ***
Anyone able to give a few hints on how to fix this?

Looks like the flash didn't work, suggest reflashing, make sure you eject the SD card before removing.

@jack0w:
You need to provide more information on how you did this new installation, in order for anyone to conclude what went wrong.
Otherwise all we can do is to iterate a long list of everything that has gone wrong for people installing in the past.
Obvious things to try include:
Use different flashing hardware (other card reader/writer and/or other computer)
Use different flashing software (RasPlex installer VS 'Win32 Disk Imager" or Linux ‘dd’ comand methods)
Use a different SD card (always Class10 quality, recommended sizes 4GB and up)
The error message you got indicates a failed partition mount procedure, so it may have been caused by a remnant partition table from previous use of that card for other purposes, though a properly working flash procedure should have removed any old partition info.
@Ned:
Apparently you got in while I was typing. But it doesn’t make any difference as we both agree that a new flashing, with possible variations in how it’s done, is how jack0w needs to proceed.
