I just got started with Plex, and am experimenting with using it on my Samsung SmartTV’s. I’ve loaded the Plex app, and it appears to work well.
Is there somewhere I can “rate” my own movies" Add stars to the ones I like more, etc… I know it sounds odd, but hey, its just a question. Also, is there a way to turn off the Rotten Tomato, etc ratings that show up when I select a movie?
You cannot rate your content directly on the Smart TV app.
You can do so however in the Web app and probably in various ‘mobile’ Plex apps.

You cannot turn them off completely, but you can switch it to a different rating source. Instead of RotttenTomatoes you can also use IMDb or TheMovieDatabase.
In the Plex server click on the dots next to the RT ratings/genres in the movie you want to rate, it’ll change to stars. To my knowledge there is no way to rate anything in the client software.
You should be able to do something about the RT ratings in agent settings. I like them, so I’ve never tried to get rid of them. Actually, at a quick glance it seems that only the source of the rating can be changed (RT, IMDB etc…), but there will always be some rating from some website there.
