I've previously been able to reach my Plex server outside of my network via various clients and the plex.tv site, but now I'm on an ISP which only offers public addresses via ipv6. I haven't been able to get it working in this case, even though I ticked the ipv6 box in the settings. Is this supported? Is there a trick to it?
Bumping this since I’ve changed my network setup. Basically I just turned off NAT.
If I access http://[::1]:32400/web on my Plex server, it still doesn’t work.
If I access http://[my:long:ipv6:address]/ from another machine on my lan, or a random machine on the internet, I get the web server running on my Plex server. I also have SSH enabled and can SSH in from a remote machine.
If I access http://[my:long:ipv6:address]:32400, which should be the Plex server, I get an unauthorized error.
Under server > settings > advanced, IPv6 support is enabled.
If I access the web client on plex.tv while on my local LAN, I see my server.
If I open the Plex iOS app on my local LAN, I see my server. If I open it on LTE, I don’t.
So it seems like external access to my machine is working, and internal access to Plex is working, but external access to Plex is not.
The OS X firewall settings indicate that Plex Home Theater, Plex Media Server, Plex Script Host, and PlexHTHelper are allowed to accept incoming connections.

Any progress here? Struggling with the same situation as I just switched to WebPass from Comcast and cant access Plex outside my house.

The feature request link from the June post seems to no longer be valid…
I updated the link. For old forum to new forum links need to be changed to drop the index.php and any specific post reference needs to be changed to refer #Comment. Still hoping that the Plex team will edit all these links
