Just bought this NAS (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B015S0Y50C) without really thinking much about it because it was on sale for cheaper than you usually see a 4-bay device.

just need to download the file, then upload it to the NAS using the web gui for ReadyNAS… you can then select it to install… pretty automated…
However, I bought the 424 after reading how plex plays well with it, but it freezes every 30 - 60 seconds for HD movies/tv… SD shows seem ok… not sure it has the muscle to run plex. I have nothing else going… no file xfer or other things running on the NAS or anything going on in the switch connecting it to the client…
@odyssey1234: So how did it work out for you? I’m thinking about buying RN214 and moving my Plex instance from a Windows server to the NAS (I currently have RN104 hosting the media files only). Any feedback? Thanks.
