Really poor photo quality - QNAP 253-Pro and Samsung QE49Q7F

Hi,

I’m running Plex on a QNAP 253-Pro and all works well apart using my Samsung QE49Q7F TV as a client apart from really poor quality photo viewing.

I can’t find any settings, either client or server, that affect photo quality so any ideas?

yeAH, what comes to mind is can your Samsung TV see the photos outside of PMS UPNP to see how they look that way? Like use FTP mode or NFS whatevs filesytem to see that its not the TVs problemo.

ps. Plex photos should just work as good as they look otherwise IIRC

Hi,

The photos look fine using the TV’s DLNA client so the issue appears to be with either the Plex server or client.

good job, u ruled out hardware-firmware so it must be software. I googled that TV and its a beauty :slight_smile:
