Is anyone else experiencing issues with the Plex server app? This last week, without changing anything on the server machine, I went from having almost no buffering/lag on my local network devices (having 3-4 different movies playing on the same amount of devices) to barely being able to even listen to music files. It seems at this point like it may be a hardware issue (from what I’m reading on these forums - some people with similar issues say they ended up having to replace SSDs) but I wanted to see if anyone had similar experiences before I start replacing parts.
I’m running Plex on a 2011 Mac Mini, and up to now it’s been perfect for my needs (I only stream on my local network). It has 8GBs of ram, a 2.3GHz i5, and an SSD I installed last Fall.
I can’t think of anything I could’ve done to change settings, but I think I recently saw the server auto-update. Did the update make changes to the settings or cause problems for others?
