"Recently Added in Music" database got corrupted

Server Version#: 1.23.4
Player Version#: iOS 8.7.3 ,web 4.57.4, Samsung TV 5.44.6

On all devices the order for “Recently Added in Music” is messed up.
Movie database is unaffected.
All music appear as being added 4 weeks ago, while modified timestamp on server for the music files dates back years or decades ago.
Looks like recent additions aren’t being added to the list.

What could have caused this problem?
And how can i fix it?

Looks like the problem might be related to my earlier issue: https://forums.plex.tv/t/pms-1-23-4-cant-connect-to-server-from-multiple-clients/801553
I think, I made a back-up for the databases during that period.

Now looking to revert to an old database copy, for the current com.plexapp.plugins.library.db hasen’t been updated since 2022-08-24.

What is the proper way to replace a db?

Most likely
Settings - Server - Library - “Empty trash automatically after every scan”

This must be OFF if your media files are not stored on an internal hard drive in your Plex server device.

Empty trash was turned on. Probably checked it when I was trying to solve previous problem (NAS w/ internal drives)

But I can’t see the fun in programming such pitfall! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: Why not try to create a nice easter-egg? :egg:

Thx, seems like a proper tutorial for restoring!

Ugh, my oldest backup seems not to have this corruption. Music shows up with correct adding date.
BUT, switching to movies results in
Something went wrong
An unexpected error occurred.

And then the connection to the NAS is lost …

To make it more complicated, I just received a Plex email
