A week ago, I accidentally added an album to Plex that had a future date. Since then, no new music additions are showing up in Recently Added. I removed the offending album, cleaned bundles, emptied the trash, and refreshed all music metadata, but no new items appear. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
@tug3 The logs appear to cover a fairly short time window, and do not include the standard startup debug logs. Where you adding a lot of media or refreshing a lot of media at the time the logs were pulled? Also the server isnt windows Nov 16, 2025 11:48:01.888 [140409123314488] INFO - Plex Media Server v1.42.2.10156-f737b826c - Synology DS1621+ x86_64 - build: linux-x86_64 synology-dsm72 - GMT -05:00
Stupid suggestion, reboot the NAS and see if the issue persists.
I restarted the NAS and did a new scan. I also optimized the database, cleaned bundles, and emptied the recycling. I added three new items to my music library. Of those, “Recently Added” now shows one, but ignored the other two. (These show up in the actual library, just not in “Recently Added.”)
Were the newly added items just re-releases of albums that you already had on your server? (Even if they were contained in a box set)
If so, Plex is not considering them as “new”.
