The top of my home screen shows a row of Artists under the title Recently Played Music.
Every time I play a track by a particular artist (Jens Lekman) it shows Jens Lekman in the Recently Played Music, but ALSO shows Jens Lekman & Annika Norlin, a separate artist. Plex is somehow conflating these two artists.
Obviously, the latter shares the first 11 characters with the first, but there’s no reason they should be connected in Plex. The tags for the tracks I played recently, performed only by Jens Lekman, have absolutely NO reference to Annika Norlin.
When I view my Play History on my Desktop, it shows albums only by Jens Lekman, which is correct.
This isn’t the first time I’ve struggled with Plex conflating solo artists with collaborations with said artist. In this thread, I detailed my struggle with Plex mis-associating artists with collaborations.
At least one other user has reported similar issues, this one back in August 2021.
No real help has been presented, though. I know this is a minor issue, particularly the Recently Played Tracks part, but it is indicative of some underlying problem in the way Plex is dealing with tags.
