Recommended sections saying server is unavailable?

For whatever reason I lost the recommend section for each of my categories, TV, movies, etc.
This applies to both server and clients.

If I go to library then all my content is there and it plays without issue. But under recommended it tells me to check my connection as the server is unavailable.
This applies to clients both locally and remotely on a variety of devices. AppleTV, ios, Amazon fire stick 4k, roku.

I’m at work so I don’t know my server version right now but I just updated it to the latest yesterday and it’s had the same issue for the last several versions.
Server is running on a 2018 mac mini, big sur 11.1, though the issue existed on both 11 and 11.1
I did not run plex server on a prior version of macos.

Any ideas?

Manually Download the latest version of PMS and swap out the expanded app in the applications folder. ( Replace).
Plex Media server must not be running.

I killed plex server and copied a new downloaded installer over but that didn’t resolve the issue. I had to use a program called app cleaner to fully uninstall anything related to plex server and then reinstall from a manual download and set it all up from scratch. That finally fixed the issue.

Try not to use such programs with Plex, glad your all fixed. This is the correct way to Uninstall.
