Want to record the daily news, but only on Fridays. How would I do this?
Currently the only options are “this episode” OR “all episodes”
Unfortunately, this is just way too “advanced” for the Plex scheduler. If recording by day of the week is something that comes up frequently for you, then I would really suggest that you switch to a DVR software provider that actually cares about providing the flexible scheduling options that users need to record what they want to record.
Pretty much any other DVR software will let you schedule by time/channel, including recurring recordings with options like daily, weekly, weekday, weekends. Even the free recording software that came with my tv card lets you choose which days of the week that you want.
If you’re thinking “it just shouldn’t be this hard”, all I can say is that you better get used to simple things being really hard to do in Plex.
