Recording same show multiple times per day (Local News)

Good Day,

I just got a Plex Pass so I could enjoy the DVR function now that Plex is my main source for media in my house. Previously I was using Kodi with a MythTV backend. Myth has been in use in my house since 2004ish, and their scheduling is much more robust, but they’ve really dropped the ball when it comes to portability of media and front end support.

The issue I’m having is recording local News broadcasts; specifically “CTV Kitchener News”. It airs at 11:30am and 6pm on Weekdays, and 6:30pm on Weekends.

If I tell it to record the 11:30am show, I get just that and no weekends.
If I tell it to record the 6:00pm show, I get just that and no weekends.
If I tell it to record ALL showings, I get the 11:30am show and no weekends. It just ignores the rest as ‘reruns’.
I can never select the 6:30pm Weekend showing.

I want it to record ALL showings, rerun or not.

Is there a way I’m just not seeing?

What does your recording config look like?

Resolution?
Airings set to “new and repeat”?

Any other options selected?

I’ve made a few screen-caps of the settings… I think the issue is that the guide data shows the 6pm showing as a repeat of the 11:30am, while the weekend is a repeat of the weekly showings. But they are not repeats…

Any updates on this? Is there any way to work around this?
