Recordings Calendar View Show Titles Missing

When viewing the Recordings - Calendar View web page, late night tv show titles do not appear. Example is The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel LIve. For earlier tv recordings, the show titles appear. Changing Chrome zoom to 80% will make the late night tv show titles appear.

Appreciate if someone could investigate the web rendering framework to see what’s causing the titles to disappear.

May I ask you which computer platform and screen resolution you are using?

I’m seeing this happen today (3/13/19) and have attached an image. Tonight at 9 I think it will record “Modern Family” but cannot tell from Plex. I’m on google chrome windows 10 client served by an Ubuntu 18.04 with Plex 1.14.1.5488. Was there ever any solution to the problem back in January?

I am at 100% zoom on a 2560x1440 display. If I zoom in to 110% I can see the titles again. Looks like I just auto-updated to chrome 73.0.3683.75 today, which must be part of the problem.

Are you using the hosted web app? app.plex.tv

Ah, interesting. No, I normally browse directly to my local server http://a.b.c.d:32400/web/index.html (v3.77.4) and when doing so I am missing the titles.

However, if I access my server by going through app.plex.tv (v3.91.0) then the titles reappear.

So, will my local web client app update to 3.91 when/if I upgrade to PMS 1.15? I didn’t want to move to 1.15 until it leaves beta, there seem to be some issues.

The embedded web app will update later. PMS 1.15.1 still has an older web app version.

I am seeing this issue as well but on Version 1.15.3.876 so this has the newer web app version ?

If I zoom in then I get the titles back
If I go through app.plex.tv instead of direct I get the titles back

How do we tell if we have the newer web app - and if not yet included in 1.15.3… when is it coming

You can find the version number of the web client under
Settings - Web Client - General

i.e. for the hosted version it is here

and for the local version it is here:

When an updated app will be bundled with the server depends on the outcome of the investigation into the issue. So far it hasn’t been determined, yet.

I just updated to PMS 1.15.4.993 which has web client 3.95.2 and the problem appears to be fixed.
