Recover deleted account

I am not sure how this happened but I just wanted to delete a test account I had been paying month to month and didn’t need any longer. Well I somehow deleted my main lifetime account.

I was signed in as my test account but maybe when the delete account page opened it switched me over to my default browser that had me logged in as my main account. That’s the only thing I can think of how this happened.

I am hoping someone knows how to recover this account (obviously not the account I am posting with as it’s deleted).

Thanks

Please tell me your main account name or email address. per PM if you like.

I have deleted my “------------” (user login) account by mistake trying to update olde hotmail one. Can you restore it please. I created this one just so I can post in here.

I have filed this for restoration.

I recommend to use your web browsers ‘private browsing’ / ‘incognito mode’ to do this kind of thing.

Keep in mind that the email address of a deleted account cannot be used for 30 days afterwards.

Account is restored now.

plex should automate this for themselves…

if user tries to log in with {recently deleted} user, then prompt user “this account scheduled for deletion, do you wish to restore? yes/no”

So anyone can restore accounts, even though the real owner want it deleted?

anyone who has the account credentials and can log in to the forum or plex web?

if I delete my account, I should be able to restore it (within a grace period of time) without involving anyone else ?

this won’t resolve issues of hacked accounts or other issues which involve someone confirming a user action, but should completely offload the above example

it would also help avoid creation of new accounts, just to restore a previous account.

I don’t know if that is good or bad, for plex, though.

(obviously, it should not restore accounts without authentication, to avoid people submitting random/targeted emails to restore)
