[Redundant - Deep Scan Function Removed] Ability to schedule Deep Scan

Allow to select the type of scan schedule, Deep or Turbo
Hi,

I'm facing an issue that many people that are using an external drive formatted as exFAT have: using a Mac, the timestamp is not correctly updated at the folder level, so Plex does not detect changes, forcing me to manually update the library using the Deep Scan. There are ways, explained in other topics, to schedule a program to run in background and force the deep scan, however it's not user friendly at all. I assume allowing to select which type of scan we want is rather simple (even if Turbo is kept as default); a more sophisticated solution would be selecting the type of scan per media type or media folder, and the ability to schedule Deep Scan + Turbo scan in separate moments would be even better, but the basic proposed solution would already help a lot.

Thanks,

Gustavo

I too would like the option to have a deep scan option as default instead of turbo.

This affects many users with NAS storage. Surely this is a simple implement? What, if any, is the impact of having deep scan as default?

I would also like to vote for this option.  When using Bitcasa it is a must.  Thanks!

Regardless of the impact, I fail to see why NAS boxes are making thins an issue?

Running QNAP here myself

+1

like the idea of nightly deep scans.
