"Refresh All Metadata" question

I returned from vacation to find some new changes, one of which is the renaming of Refresh to “Refresh All Metadata.” When I click this command, a message appears, the first sentence of which is as follows:

Forces a download of fresh media information from the internet.
My question is this: If my libraries are set to use embedded tags, does the command still force downloading of fresh media information from the internet? Or will it still prioritize my embedded tags?

Disappointed to see from the experiences of others that this appears to be a cosmetic change only, and the bug(s) that necessitate the Plex Dance are apparently unchanged.

Are you confusing this with the also just renamed “Scan Library Files”?

@beckfield I’m sure you know this but if unsure how these work create a test lib pointed to a half dozen movies. Make some changes to the meta-data and lock it. Then test the functionality.

@beckfield - Yes, it is just a rename of the command to better explain what it does. What we discussed in your other thread hasn’t been implemented yet.

Okay, thanks. So the phrase “…from the internet” isn’t necessarily accurate, if local embedded tags are present and preferred.
