Refresh option gone along with update scroll ... why?

I feel awful for complaining, the UI is sleek and nice… but my ‘workflow’ was to add the days tv and refresh with ‘recently added so that I could see the new shows added and then go watch on my Roku’. It was just one click and I could see the status bar working (also gone now). I would never play all from the top level and don’t see why the refresh icon isn’t be there too, or at least under the 3-dot menu.

I assume most that do a daily update wouldn’t want to update all libraries but rather just the one they added media to. So doing a server refresh will take a lot longer to go through all my movies and music when I just want the days TV shows updated.

Or perhaps I’m just dated, if there is a better way I’d love to learn?

Click the three dots next to the library name on the left side.

That forces a complete refresh of the whole library and redownloads everything though.

Surely the ability to simply scan for new media has not been entirely removed?

On the left, hover over your library name with your mouse, and then three little dogs will appear. Click it, and you’ll get the refresh option for that library.

I think you are using the wrong term here.

Update = scan for new file names and add them, then download metadata for just the new items
Refresh = Download fresh metadata, regardless whether it is a new or older item

What you want when you have added a new episode, is the ‘Update Library’ command.
Which is located in the same menu (2nd option from top)
